If there ever was a good reason to add a new page to Ear of Newt, this is it.
I for one and sick and tired of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame making a mockery of the words “rock and roll”. Sure, the Hall may have gained a few brownie points when it finally inducted the likes of Rush and Albert King this year, but the mere fact that it hasn’t even nominated Irish guitar legend Rory Gallagher yet leaves me no choice but to open up this page so we can lay the boots to the Cleveland institution until it finally clues in.
I’ve reposted my Straight.com Rock Hall slaggings from the past few years on here, and there’s plenty more where those came from.
I know you’re reading this, Jann Wenner, so get it together. Induct Rory Gallagher–and Thin Lizzy, while you’re at it–and I’ll consider taking it easy on you and the Rock Hall’s other lame-ass directors.
In the meantime, enjoy the boots.
