I did my first interview with David Lee Roth in June of 1994, when he was promoting his Nile Rodgers-produced album Your Filthy Little Mouth.
He called me from L.A., where 10 days earlier O.J. Simpson had gone on his murderous rampage, so we chatted about the media circus surrounding that, among other things.
Dave’s a pretty talkative sort, ya know.
As the interview wound down he asked me if I had one more question, so, saving the best for last, I asked him if he ever regretted leaving Van Halen.
