The Black Crowes: guitar rockers from Atlanta, featuring singer Chris Robinson and guitarist Rich Robinson, perform hits from the past and tunes from new album Happiness BastardsApril 16 at the Orpheum Theatre.

Steve Dawson & the Hooded Mergansers: roots band led by Canadian guitarist, songwriter, pedal steel player, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and engineer now living and working in Nashville. April 19 at Mel Lehan Hall at St. James.

Big Sugar plays the Pearl

Big Sugar: Toronto blues- and reggae-rockers, featuring singer-guitarist Gordie Johnson. April 20 at the Pearl.

Hornby Blues: the Rogue Folk Club presents a blues show featuring performances by Rick Fines, Samantha Martin, Paul Pigat, and Tim Willliams. April 26 at Mel Lehan Hall at St. James.

David Bowie’s Blackstar: Vancouver band Space Junk performs David Bowie’s final album in its entirety, as well as other songs from Bowie’s late=’70s to mid-’90s catalogue. April 27 at the Rickshaw Theatre. POSTPONED.

The Tony Wilson Quartet: guitarist jazz guitarist Wilson performs with tenor saxophonist Dave Say, bassist Russell Sholberg, and drummer Nino Dipasquale. April 29 at Guilt and Co.
