That time Sue Foley told me that she thought Memphis Minnie was like the female Robert Johnson

I did my second interview with stellar Canadian blues artist Sue Foley in June of 2001, when she was touring behind her sixth album, the Colin Linden-produced Love Comin’ Down.

I’ve always thought that the oft-overlooked Foley was one of the best female guitarists around, so at one point in the conversation I asked her to name her favourite female players.
