FRIDAY: Pennsylvania indie-rock quintet Tigers Jaw plays the Rickshaw Theatre, with guests Pool Kids and Bleary Eyed.

FRIDAY: Australian comedian, actor, and writer Jim Jefferies performs two standup-comedy shows at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre as part of his Son of a Carpenter Tour.
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: the FIFA Fan Festival on the PNE Grounds at Hastings Park features live broadcasts of FIFA World Cup games and live music by Down With Webster, the Funk Hunters, Dear Rouge, Shred Kelly, Five Alarm Funk, and the Jocelyn Pettit Band. FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: Come From Away, Irene Sankoff and David Hein’s musical inspired by the true events of September 11, when 7,000 stranded airplane passengers were welcomed by the residents of Gander, Newfoundland, runs until July 26 at the Arts Club Theatre Company’s Stanley BFL Canada Stage.

FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: showing nightly until June 30 at the Dome, Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon is an immersive, 42-minute, 360° surround-sound journey through deep space, alien worlds, and celestial landscapes, featuring the mindblowing music from the legendary prog-rock band’s 1973 album.
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: the Vancouver Canadians take on the Everett AquaSox in Minor League Baseball action at Nat Bailey Stadium.
SATURDAY: Daryl Burgess & the Rhythm Snakes play White Rock’s Blue Frog Studios, with singer-songwriter Burgess joined by a stellar Vancouver band composed of guitarists Tim Porter and John Ellis, keyboardist Rob Bailey, saxophonist Tom Keenlyside, trombonist Colin Weinmaster, cellist Emilio Sanchez, bassist Brian Newcombe, drummer Mike Schmidt, and backing vocalists Joani Bye and Cecile Larochelle.

SATURDAY: 25th anniversary screening at the Rio Theatre of a restoration of Amores Perros, Mexican director Alejandro G. Iñárritu‘s ambitious story of lives that collide in a Mexico City car crash.
