I did my seventh interview with American guitar wizard Joe Satriani back in December of 2010, when he was touring behind his 13th studio album, Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards.
That disc was coproduced by Vancouver studio ace Mike Fraser, so at one point in the conversation I asked Satch what Fraser’s main skills as a producer were. Then I asked him about his connection to Vancouver guitar great Dave Martone, who he’d also recorded with in the past.
