Descartes a Kant plays the Rickshaw

MONDAY: Canadian rock legend Neil Young performs the second of two outdoor concerts with his band the Chrome Hearts at Deer Lake Park, with guests Reverend Billy and the Stop Shopping Choir. Here’s my review of Neil Young from 1991.

FRIDAY: the BC Lions take on the Ottawa Redblacks in Canadian Football League action at BC Place.

FRIDAY: Canadian guitarist and instrumental recording artist Rob Tardik fuses pop, jazz, Latin, rock, and world influences at White Rock’s Blue Frog Studios.

FRIDAY: American metal quartet Baroness, featuring frontman John Dyer Baizley, plays the Rickshaw Theatre, with guests Weedeater.

Walk off the Earth plays Paterson Park

FRIDAY: the first day of the three-day Barnside Harvest Festival at Ladner’s Paterson Park features performances by Walk off the Earth, Bedouin Soundclash, Said the Whale, the Boom Booms, Blonde Diamond, Fionn, Royal Oak, Honeybear, Shane Terry Band, and Melissa Endean.
