Back on June 6 of 1988 I called up Def Leppard guitarist Steve Clark at his hotel room in Moncton, New Brunswick.
It was the first date of the Canadian leg of the band’s hugely successful Hysteria World Tour, and they were as popular as they would ever get.
A month later the band would release “Love Bites”, the sixth single from the 1987 Hysteria album, was has sold over 20-million copies worldwide.
When Clark answered the phone I asked him how the tour was going, and judging by his response, it was goin’ alright.
