Dont Look Back screens at VIFF Centre
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: screenings at the VIFF Centre of Dont Look Back, director D.A. Pennebaker‘s 1967 documentary about Bob Dylan‘s 1965 tour of England.
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: exhibition of paintings by New York City-based artist Firelei Báez, organized by the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston, runs until March 16 at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: The Lind Biennial, running until February 2 at Polygon Gallery, is a showcase of new work by the finalists of the Philip B. Lind Prize for Emerging Artists. Exhibiting artists include Mena El Shazly, Karice Mitchell, Dion Smith-Dokkie, Parumveer Walia, and Casey Wei.

SATURDAY: the 10th annual Bowie Ball at the Rickshaw Theatre is a fundraiser for the BC Cancer Foundation featuring David Bowie songs performed by Mellow’s Rockpile, Asian Persuasion All Stars, Makeout Bandit, Cherry Maraschino, Lois Lane, 20 Explosive Hits!, Hang-ten Hangmen, Bargain Shopper’s Club, Rat Silo, and No Fun.
