Way back in November of 1987 I did my first interview with British author Clive Barker, who was on a signing tour to promote his latest novel, Weaveworld.
A couple of years earlier, for Barker’s Books of Blood collection of short stories, American horror master Stephen King had provided a quote that no doubt greatly boosted Barker’s presence on the literary stage:
“I have seen the future of horror and his name is Clive Barker.”
At one point during my in-person interview with Barker I asked him about King’s support, and what he thought about the Maine-man’s work himself.
