Coast to Coast plays Surrey Canada Day

MONDAY: hardcore East Coast hip-hop collective Wu-Tang Clan–composed of RZA, GZA, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Raekwon, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna–performs at Rogers Arena on its final tour.

MONDAY: Vancouver sextet Petunia & the Vipers combines elements of country, western swing, Mexicana, French cabaret, ragtime, rockabilly, jazz, punk, and folk at the Princeton Pub & Grill.

TUESDAY: instrumental surf-rock trio the Reviberators–composed of guitarist Noah Walker, drummer Jodie Ponto, and bassist Joseph Lubinsky-Mast–plays a free show at Ocean Artworks as part of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival.

Dear Rouge plays Canada Place

TUESDAY: Canada Together at Canada Place features food trucks, indigenous marketplace, kids’ z0ne, and mainstage performances by Ramen Fog, John Welsh & Los Valientes, Blue Rivera, Hotel Mira, and headliners Dear Rouge.

TUESDAY: Surrey Canada Day at the Bill Reid Millenium Amphitheatre features food trucks, rides, and mainstage performances by Coast to Coast, Cookin’ with Brass, Tess Anderson, Marlin Ramazzini, Logan Staats, Shally Rehal, Garret T. Willie, Goldie Boutilier, and the Reklaws.

TUESDAY TO THURSDAY: the Vancouver Canadians take on the Everett Aquasox in Minor League Baseball action at Nat Bailey Stadium.

Pierre Bensusan plays the Fox Cabaret

WEDNESDAY: French-Algerian acoustic-guitar virtuoso, vocalist, and composer Pierre Bensusan plays the Fox Cabaret.

WEDNESDAY TO FRIDAYPlayland features midway games, mini-golf, a climbing wall, haunted mansion, food concessions, and over 35 rides and attractions, including the iconic wooden rollercoaster. Playland runs until August 15 on the PNE Grounds, then becomes part of admission to the PNE Fair.

THURSDAYJohn Garcia, former vocalist for stoner-rock legends Kyuss, plays the Rickshaw Theatre, with guests Telekinetic Yeti.

Good as Gone plays the Astoria

FRIDAY: Three Band Blowout at the Astoria Pub features performances by Vancouver rock bands Dagger, Minx, and Good as Gone, which includes former Pride Tiger members Matt Wood and Mike Payette.
