My neighbourhood buddy and geetar picker Kevin Browne just sent me some photos from the Tom Morello concert happening tonight at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver.
I was psyched to see the image of Randy Rhoads being lifted up onstage by Ozzy Osbourne as the backdrop for one of his shots. That’s the famous photo from the cover of Ozzy’s Tribute album, which I reviewed when it came out way back in 1987.
Browne says that the iconic image of Ozzy and Rhoads went up while Morello was performing “Mr. Crowley”, the opening track on Side Two of Ozzy’s 1980 debut solo album, Blizzard of Ozz.
Morello’s 14-year-old son Roman did the Rhoads-style damage on the lead solo.
Here’s a few more photos that Browne took.

That show at the Commodore looks pretty rockin’. Guess I shoulda gone too.
