TUESDAY AND THURSDAY TO FRIDAY: screening at the VIFF Centre of director Michael John Warren’s concert documentary You Got Gold: A Celebration of John Prine, featuring live performances by Steve Earle, Jason Isbell, Bonnie Raitt, Dwight Yoakam, Lucinda Williams, Brandi Carlile, Kacey Musgraves, Kurt Vile, Lyle Lovett, and the Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir.

A Wonderheads Christmas Carol at BMO Theatre Centre
WEDNESDAY TO FRIDAY: A Wonderheads Christmas Carol, running until December 14 at the Arts Club’s BMO Theatre Centre, is a wordless reimagining of Charles Dickens’ holiday classic, featuring 10-foot tall puppets, incredible masks, and an original score.
THURSDAY: night three of the Elevate Music Project features performances at the Biltmore Cabaret by emerging local acts Francis Baptise, Alick Mac, Shaun Finn, ?Numb?Dame?, Dani Black, and Carmine.
THURSDAY: album-release party at Tyrant Studios for Scott Smith’s new instrumental album Lifeboat 2: Further Explorations in Pedal Steel, featuring Smith on pedal steel, Emmett Jerome on guitar, and Jeremy Holmes on bass.

FRIDAY: Seattle rock trio Kinski performs tunes from new album Stumbledown Terrace at the Rickshaw Theatre, with guests Computer, Scarlet Fever, and Sleep Country.
