Smokin’ hot guitarist Luther Dickinson shows off his signature Gibson

Earlier today I had a nice chat with gifted guitar dude Luther Dickinson, who brings his band, the North Mississippi Allstars, to Vancouver’s Rio Theatre next Friday (January 24).

Man am I psyched about seeing that show. The Allstars were awesome when they opened for Robert Plant’s Band of Joy back in 2011. And the trio’s new album World Boogie is Coming—which I just scored a copy of last week—is bloody amazing. (Kinda bummed I didn’t hear it in time to put it it on my Top 10 of 2013, right alongside Gov’t Mule and Tedeschi Trucks)

My interview with Dickinson—my first since 2005, when the NMA played the Commodore on a bill with She Stole My Beer—will be posted next week.

In the meantime, here’s a clip of him fawning over his signature Gibson ES-335 guitar, which hit stores recently.

“I can play it all night and all day and all night,” he raves.
