Rock N’ Roll Circus plays Seymour’s Pub

FRIDAY: ’70s-style Vancouver rock band Rock N’ Roll Circus plays North Van’s Seymour’s Pub & Grill in celebration of singer Chris Woudstra’s 50th birthday.
FRIDAY: screening at the Rio Theatre of the extended director’s cut of director William Friedkin’s supernatural horror classic, The Exorcist.
FRIDAY: the Vancouver Canucks take on Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins in National Hockey League action at Rogers Arena.
Rabid screens at the Cinematheque
FRIDAY: screening at the Cinematheque of Canadian writer-director David Cronenberg’s 1977 body-horror flick Rabid, starring porn star Marilyn Chambers.
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY: Sarah Slean performs two nights with the Vancouver Symphony in a Tribute to Joni Mitchell at the Orpheum Theatre.
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: Fright Nights: Resurrection is a Halloween-themed experience at Playland with seven haunted houses, over 15 rides, creepy décor, roaming monsters, and live performances.
The Parade of Lost Souls happens in East Van
SATURDAY: the Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret presents the Parade of Lost Souls, leaving from the Britannia Community Centre at 7 pm, with after-party at the WISE Hall.
SATURDAY: the Community Arts Council of Vancouver presents Outsiders at the Annex, featuring performances by emerging artists Bero Saker, Franz Seachel, Joe Chow, Michelle Heyóka, M.Pyress Flame, and Edzi’u.
SUNDAY: Ghostfinger Productions presents A Night of Bowie: The Definitive David Bowie Experience, with guests Fleetwood Magic, at the Hollywood Theatre.

SUNDAY: screening at the Rio Theatre of Brian De Palma’s 1976 adaptation of Stephen King’s bestselling horror novel, Carrie. Audience costumes encouraged.
