FRIDAY: British rock legends the Rolling Stones perform their hits and tunes from new album Hackney Diamonds at BC Place.
FRIDAY: Canadian alt-rock act Softcult, featuring twin sisters Phoenix and Mercedes Arn-Horn, plays tunes from new EP Heaven at the Pearl, with guests Present.

Ring of Fire runs at Granville Island Stage
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: the iconic songbook of Johnny Cash is featured in Ring of Fire, a theatrical concert created by Richard Maltby, Jr. that delves into the heart of Cash’s music, running until August 11 at the Arts Club Theatre’s Granville Island Stage.
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: Emily Carr: A Room of Her Own, running until January 2025 at the Vancouver Art Gallery, features approximately 25 works drawn from the Gallery’s Emily Carr Collection, the most comprehensive holdings of her work in the world.
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: True Tribal: Contemporary Expressions of Ancestral Tattoo Practices explores 30-plus years of Indigenous tattooing from around the world and showcases the artists who are reconnecting with traditional skin-marking practices, at the Museum of Vancouver.

The Khatsahlano Street Party takes place in Kits
SATURDAY: the Khatsahlano Street Party features performances by more than 50 Vancouver bands and artists, with multiple food options, artisan booths, and beer gardens, taking place between Burrard and Macdonald Streets in Kitsilano.
SATURDAY: Symphony at Sunset is a free, open-air concert at Sunset Beach Park with Otto Tausk leading the Vancouver Symphony in music from Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, and E.T., plus a selection of classical favourites.
SATURDAY: Australian psych-rock sextet Ocean Alley plays the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre, with guests the Grogans.
SATURDAY: the Vancouver Craft Beer & Music Festival at the PNE Fairgrounds features samples of more than 150 craft beers, chef pop-ups, and live music by Yukon Blonde, Lovely the Band, Black Pontiac, Post Modern Connection, and Lee Brown.

Where Olive Trees Weep screens at the Rio
SUNDAY: Free Palestine BC presents a screening at the Rio Theatre of Where Olive Trees Weep, a new documentary about the struggles of the Palestinian people under Israeli occupation, with partial proceeds to benefit the Uncle Gaza Mutual Aid Campaign.
