MONDAY: screening at the Kay Meek Arts Centre of Never Look Away, director Lucy Lawless’s documentary about fearless CNN combat camerawoman Margaret Moth.

MONDAY TO FRIDAY: The Art of Banksy: “Without Limits” exhibition at 1 Alexander Street features over 200 prints, photos, sculptures, installations, and murals by world-famous street artist Banksy.

MONDAY & WEDNESDAY TO FRIDAY: exhibition of paintings by New York City-based artist Firelei Báezorganized by the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston, runs until March 16 at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

The Red Clay Strays play the Commodore

TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY: Alabama country-rock band the Red Clay Strays play two nights at the Commodore Ballroom.

WEDNESDAY: Australian indie-pop band Last Dinosaurs plays the Pearl, with guests Tipling Rock and Jasper Bones.

WEDNESDAY TO FRIDAY: xʷəlməxʷ child, running until May 25 at North Vancouver’s Polygon Gallery, features Manuel Axel Strain‘s figurative paintings, transformed into pictographs and set against photographic murals.

The Wild are in town

FRIDAY: the Vancouver Canucks take on the Minnesota Wild in National Hockey League action at Rogers Arena.

FRIDAY: Montreal soul-funk collective Busty and the Bass plays the Pearl on its Mannequin Tour, with guests Zach Zoya and Sadé Awele.

FRIDAY: late-night screening at the Rio Theatre of a 4K restoration of Possession, director Andrzej Żuławski’s 1981 horror flick about a woman in West Berlin who begins exhibiting increasingly disturbing behavior after asking for a divorce from her spy husband.

Harry Manx plays Blue Frog Studios
