MONDAY: screening at the Rio Theatre of Becoming Led Zeppelin, director Bernard MacMahon’s new documentary about the formation of the legendary British rock band, featuring never-before-seen footage and new interviews with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page. MONDAY TO FRIDAY: The Art of Banksy: “Without Limits” exhibition, running until May 25 at 1 Alexander Street, features over 200 prints, photos, sculptures, installations, and murals by world-famous street artist Banksy.
MONDAY TO TUESDAY & THURSDAY TO FRIDAY: screenings at the VIFF Centre of No Other Land, the Oscar-winning documentary about the realities of Israeli occupation in the State of Palestine’s West Bank. In Arabic, Hebrew, and English, with English subtitles.

Amyl and the Sniffers play the PNE Forum
WEDNESDAY: Australian punk-rock quartet Amyl and the Sniffers performs tunes from latest album Cartoon Darkness at the PNE Forum, with guests Sheer Mag from Philadelphia.
WEDNESDAY TO FRIDAY: xʷəlməxʷ child, running until May 25 at North Vancouver’s Polygon Gallery, features Manuel Axel Strain‘s figurative paintings, transformed into pictographs and set against photographic murals.
THURSDAY: the Juno Comedy Show at the Vancouver Playhouse features standup comedy by Courtney Gilmour, Debra DiGiovanni, Ivan Decker, Jess Salomon, Nathan Macintosh, and host Ola Dada.

Yukon Blonde plays the Rickshaw
FRIDAY: Junofest Night One at the Rickshaw Theatre features performances by Yukon Blonde, Blonde Diamond, Fold Paper, Piss, and Post-Modern Connection.
FRIDAY: Dan Savage’s 2005 Hump! Film Festival: Part One features screenings of 23 short adult films at the Rio Theatre.
FRIDAY: Canadian soul/blues vocalist Miss Emily performs with her band at White Rock’s Blue Frog Studios.
