That time I asked Alice Cooper if he’d read the latest horror novel by my scary buddy “Michael Slade”

The above photo that depicts me rubbing shoulders with Alice Cooper while horror author Jay Clarke (aka Michael Slade) looks on was taken backstage after one of Cooper’s Vancouver shows in the late ’80s.

Cooper was a fan of Slade’s books, and had even written a cover blurb for his 1987 novel Ghoul, so as my fourth interview with the Coop wound down back in 1999 I asked him if he’d read Slade’s latest novel at the time, Burnt Bones.
