FRIDAY: Vancouver shoegaze band la lune plays an EP-release party at the Rickshaw Theatre, with guests Woolworm, Dead Soft, and Hillsboro.
FRIDAY: American alt-country/folk-rock singer-songwriter and former Whiskeytown frontman Ryan Adams plays the Vogue Theatre as part of his Heartbreaker ’25 World Tour. Here’s my interview with Ryan Adams from 1998.

One to One: John and Yoko screens at the VIFF Centre
FRIDAY: screening at the VIFF Centre of the new documentary One to One: John and Yoko, which focuses on the 1972 John Lennon and Yoko Ono concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: the DOXA Documentary Film Festival showcases 39 features, 30 short and mid-length films, and industry events, running until May 11 at various Vancouver venues.
FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: The Art of Banksy: “Without Limits” exhibition, running until May 25 at 1 Alexander Street, features over 200 prints, photos, sculptures, installations, and murals by world-famous street artist Banksy.

Shari Ulrich plays Bez Arts Hub
SATURDAY: Pop-Up Fundraiser Concert at Langley’s Bez Arts Hub features performances by Shari Ulrich, Wild Blue Herons, Bez Community Stage Artists, and a house band featuring keyboardist Bill Sample, bassist Miles Hill, and drummer Randall Stoll.
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY: Canadian post-rock band Godspeed You! Black Emperor performs material from its latest album No Title as of 13 February 2024 28,340 Dead at the Vogue Theatre.
SUNDAY: the Vancouver Whitecaps takes on the Los Angeles Football Club in Major League Soccer action at BC Place.

SUNDAY: Australian alt-rock band from the ’80s, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, performs at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre as part of its Wild God Tour.
