FRIDAY: Canadian guitarist and instrumental recording artist Rob Tardik fuses pop, jazz, Latin, rock, and world influences at White Rock’s Blue Frog Studios.

FRIDAY: the BC Lions take on the Ottawa Redblacks in Canadian Football League action at BC Place.

FRIDAY: American metal quartet Baroness, featuring frontman John Dyer Baizley, plays the Rickshaw Theatre, with guests Weedeater.

The Trailer Park Boys perform in Stanley Park

FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: the 2025 Vancouver Fringe Festival, running until September 14, features over 80 performances of alternative theatre, comedy, dance, music, and drag on and around Granville Island.

FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: opening weekend for Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, director Rob Reiner’s sequel to his 1984 heavy-metal mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap, starring Christopher GuestMichael McKean, and Harry Shearer.

FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival in Stanley Park features performances by John Mulaney, Nick Kroll, Whitney Cummings, Fred Armisen, Bert Kreischer, and the Trailer Park Boys with a performance by Bubbles and the Shitrockers.
