I interviewed guitar wizard Steve Vai for the third time back in September of 2003, when he was about to start a G3 Tour with Joe Satriani and Yngwie Malmsteen.
As the interview wound down I asked him if he’d been following the career of local Vancouver musician Devin Townsend, who had performed on Vai’s 1993 album Sex & Religion.
