My metal-crazed nephew Jeff flew to Toronto to see Iron Maiden last night

My nephew Jeff really loves Iron Maiden. He flew from his home base in the Okanagan to see them play at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena–on the shore of beautiful LAKE ONTARIO–last night. And he’s going again tonight.

Jeff comes by his Maiden infatuation honestly, ’cause when he was 14, for his first-ever concert, I took him to see them at Vancouver’s Pacific Coliseum on the 1984 World Slavery Tour.

So now he’s gallivanting across the country with his own metal-crazed teenage kid striving to relive that ’80s headbanger vibe, and dropping 70 clams on awesome t-shirts like this one:

I reckon I’ve taught him well.

Jeff reports that he was pleased that Iron Maiden’s entire 17-song concert was–other than one track from ’92–made up of songs from the ’80s.
