This three-CD box set is a real bonus for Tom Cochrane fans who enjoyed his recent hits, “Big League” and “Life Is a Highway”, but who still believe his best musical moments occurred with his former band, Red Rider.
The majority of the selections here come from the 1980-84 Red Rider period, and the collection includes a number of demo, alternative, and previously unreleased live versions of showstopping tunes such as “White Hot”, “Lunatic Fringe”, and “Can’t Turn Back”.
Only about half of the 41 tracks on Ashes to Diamonds: A Collection have previously been available, so dedicated Cochrane followers have particular cause to seek out this limited-edition set.
