According to that old April Wine song, “Rock N’ Roll is a Vicious Game”. It can be a dangerous one, too, as Colin James recently discovered.
The Vancouver-based blues-rocker was injured in a car crash while on tour Sunday (Sept. 15), according to a statement posted on his Facebook page yesterday. Fortunately, James’s injuries weren’t life-threatening.
“He’s recovering and doing well,” reads the post, “but due to his injuries, he won’t be able to continue on the rest of his US tour. He’s sorry he won’t be able to play these shows, and looks forward to coming back another time soon.”
James had played the Niagara Falls Blues Festival in New York last Friday, and was scheduled to play Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club in Portsmouth, New Hampshire tonight, with nine other U.S. shows dates scheduled for September.
Ticketholders are asked to contact their point of purchase for refunds.
Ear of Newt wishes Colin a speedy recovery.
