TUESDAY: watch Kamala vs. Donald (the U.S. presidential election) live on the big screen at the Rio Theatre, with Vancouver comedian Charlie Demers as host.
TUESDAY: Chicago indie-rock trio Dehd plays tunes from latest Fat Possum album Poetry at the Rickshaw Theatre, with guests Gustaf from Brooklyn.

Winter Kills screens at the VIFF Centre
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY: screenings at the VIFF Centre of Winter Kills, director William Richert’s 1978 black comedy/thriller, a madcap riff on the JRK assassination, based on the 1974 novel by The Manchurian Candidate author Richard Condon.

THURSDAY: AC/DC vs. Ozzy at the Roxy Cabaret features tributes to AC/DC by Noise Pollution and Ozzy Osbourne by Mr. Crowley’s Ozzy Experience.
FRIDAY: Grammy-winning composer Tan Dun conducts the Canadian premiere of his epic choral work of love and compassion, Buddha Passion, inspired by Chinese and Sanskrit texts, at the Orpheum Theatre.
