I interviewed Cadillac Tramps guitarist Brian Coakley in May of 1999, when the Orange County punk-rock band had reunited after five years apart and was headed to Vancouver for a show at New Music West ’99.

At one point in the conversation I asked Coakley what he thought was stopping his band from being as popular as other punk-edged bands like Green Day or the Offspring.
