I interviewed 28-year-old folk-pop sensation Jack Johnson in August of 2003, three months after the release of his second album, On and On, which went platinum in the U.S. and double-platinum in Canada.
At one point in the conversation, knowing Johnson was heavily into surfing, I asked him if he’d had any scary experiences while riding the waves, and it turns out he had.
