That time I asked Allison Moorer what she and Steve Earle liked to do in New York City on a day off

I interviewed American country singer-songwriter Allison Moorer in March of 2008 when she was promoting her sixth album, Mockingbird, which featured covers of songs by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Nina Simone, Patti Smith, Cat Power, and June Carter Cash.

At the time Moorer was touring with her then-husband, Steve Earle, so as the conversation wound down I asked her what the couple liked to do on days off at their home in New York City.
