Corrosion of Conformity plays the Rickshaw

FRIDAY: American stoner-metal band Corrosion of Conformity plays tunes from new album Good God/Baad Man at the Rickshaw Theatre, with guests Whores and Crobot. SOLD OUT. Here’s my interview with Pepper Keenan of Corrosion of Conformity from 2001.

FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: showing nightly until July 30 at the DomePink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon is an immersive, 42-minute, 360° surround-sound journey through deep space, alien worlds, and celestial landscapes, featuring music from the legendary prog-rock band’s 1973 album.

FRIDAY TO SUNDAY: Come From Away, Irene Sankoff and David Hein’s musical inspired by the true events of September 11, when 7,000 stranded airplane passengers were welcomed by the residents of Gander, Newfoundland, runs until July 26 at the Arts Club Theatre Company’s Stanley BFL Canada Stage.

Rear Window screens at VIFF Centre

SUNDAY: screening at the VIFF Centre of director Alfred Hitchcock‘s 1954 mystery-thriller Rear Window, about a wheelchair-bound photojournalist who believes a murder has been committed at the Greenwich Village apartment building across from his. Event includes a 15-minute introduction by local film scholar Christine Evans and an audience Q&A.
