I interviewed Canadian rock legend Randy Bachman for the second time in January of 2009, when he was preparing to play a show at Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom with a new band composed of veterans of the local top-40 club scene.
At one point in the conversation Bachman and I discussed the enormous career success he’d had in the ’70s with Bachman-Turner Overdrive, which led me to ask if the man handling BTO’s business affairs at the time, Bruce Allen, was the world’s best rock manager.
