It never fails to amaze me how lame the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is when it comes to ignoring stellar rock bands and musicians that deserve to be inducted into their high-and-mighty institution.
For the uninitiated, Newt’s Rock Hall is the one created by me 11 years ago to pay homage to the amazing acts that, for whatever crazy reason, have long been excluded from the “official” Rock and Roll of Fame.
Here’s the full alphabetical list of Newt’s Rock Hall inductees, as of June 2026. Can you believe that none of them have been inducted into the RRHOF as of yet?
I’m curious to know which ones my readers think are most deserving of induction into that other, better-known Rock Hall in Cleveland.
Canned Heat
Humble Pie
James Gang
Kansas
Mahogany Rush
Procol Harum
Replacements
Shadows
Slade
Stray Cats
Ten Years After

Nice to see Free in here Newt, they do not get the respect they deserve for some very well-crafted tunes – rockers and ballads – killer guitar by Kossoff and bass by Fraser, and of course for introducing Paul Rodgers to the world. Great pick.
